Packing Science x Clemson Football

Heading into my junior year at Clemson, I had the incredible opportunity to be selected for the Best is the Standard Creative Inquiry, a hands-on, interdisciplinary program through Clemson’s renowned Packaging Science School. This experience allowed me to collaborate with a dynamic team of students to bring creative concepts to life. We started with just a sketch and spent days—often weeks—ideating, prototyping, and refining every detail. From selecting materials to testing structural design, we immersed ourselves in the full development process. By my senior year, our hard work culminated in the design featured to the right—a custom-built piece used in Clemson football recruiting photoshoots.

Even more rewarding was seeing our impact extend beyond our time in the program. The second image to the right, featuring the Clemson football sign, shows how the group from the following year built upon our original idea. They used our initial design as the foundation to develop additional word builds, expanding the visual language and continuing to elevate the recruiting experience. Knowing that our work sparked a legacy of creativity and innovation for the teams that followed was incredibly fulfilling.
