Charlotte Hornets

The idea to hand-code a website for the Charlotte Hornets basketball team came after an unforgettable weekend in Charlotte when Clemson won the ACC Championship and a Hornets game was being played nearby. At the time, I had never heard of the team, but after doing some research, I was instantly drawn to their bold colors, sleek branding, and energetic presence. Inspired, I hand-coded a custom website from the ground up to reflect the team’s identity, using JavaScript for dynamic features and Cyberduck for secure file management. I also applied UX best practices to create a smooth, fan-focused experience and drew on my knowledge of web design platforms like Wix to inform my creative process. This project not only expanded my technical skill set but also deepened my appreciation for combining design with storytelling in the digital space.
